HR is lonely. It doesn’t have to be.
The best HR advice comes from those in the trenches. That’s what this is: real-world HR insights delivered in a newsletter from Hebba Youssef, a Chief People Officer who’s been there. Practical, real strategies with a dash of humor. Because HR shouldn’t be thankless—and you shouldn’t be alone in it.

The best aerial photographs of the year

A total of 101 spectacular aerial images are among the winners of the first edition of "The International Aerial Photographer of the Year" award, whose results have been announced recently.
These awards have been promoted by the organizers of the International Landscape Photographer of the Year awards. After a decade of running the awards, organisers noticed an increase in the number of stunning aerial photographs captured through different systems, including drones and wondered if there was room for a special competition dedicated to the art and practice of aerial photography.
American Joanna Steidle is the winner of the first edition of the aerial photography award, while Spanish photographer Daniel Viñé has achieved second place.

In "On the Net Today" we have searched for the Instagram profiles of the main winners:
Photographer of the year: Joanna Steidle, United States
Second place: Daniel Viñé, Spain
Third place: David Swindler, United States
Photography of the year: Ignacio Palacios, Australia
Second place: Talor Stone, United States
Third place: Thomas Vijayan, Canada
On the awards website, a digital book has been created that allows you to enjoy all the winning images.

Reachy Mini, Hugging Face's robot to experiment with AI

“Reachy Mini is an expressive, open-source robot designed for human-robot interaction, creative coding, and AI experimentation.”
This is how AI development platform Hugging Face describes the small robot it has just launched to the market at a price of $299 (plus taxes) - there is a more advanced version for $449 - that it wants to turn into the "gateway to robotic AI: fun, customizable, and ready to be part of your next coding project."
Reachy Mini measures 11“/28cm in height and 6.3“/16cm in width (approximately 9“/23cm tall when in sleep mode) and weighs 3.3 lbs/1.5 kg. It is manufactured in collaboration with Pollen Robotics.
The promoters of this robot explain that its audience can be very varied: "Whether you're an AI developer, a hacker, a researcher, a teacher, a robot enthusiast, or you simply code with your kids on weekends, Reachy Mini allows you to develop, test, implement, and share real-world AI applications from your desk, using the latest AI models!"
On the Hugging Face page, all the features and possibilities of this robot are explained, which you can see in action in the following video:
