The winning photos of the World Nature Photography Awards 2025

This photograph titled "Run" has earned photographer Maruša Puhek from Slovenia recognition as the World Nature Photographer of the Year for 2025 in the recently awarded World Nature Photography Awards.

Maruša Puhek has explained the story behind this incredible image:

"This photo was part of my 366 project, where I captured an image every day and carried my camera everywhere. It was a snowy day and I only had a wide-angle lens with me when I saw two deer running through the snowy vineyard. I took a few photos, frustrated that I didn't have a telephoto lens with me. Only later, during editing, did I realize how lucky I had been: the scene wasn't too zoomed in, which allowed the snowy environment to remain an essential part of the composition."

These international photography awards, now in their sixth edition, have become one of the main references in the world of nature and wildlife photography. The World Nature Photography Awards, in addition to highlighting the world's best nature photographers and showcasing the natural beauty of our planet, hope that "we all take action, no matter how small, to save the planet for future generations."

All the winning images in the different award categories are available here.

Work-Life balance overtakes salary as the main motivating factor, according to Randstad

For the first time in the 22-year history of the annual Workmonitor report produced by Randstad, work-life balance (83%) is considered more important than salary (82%) that a job offers as the main motivating factor for workers.

This report, whose 2025 edition has been recently published, analyzes labor trends and demands in 35 countries, including Spain, through surveys conducted with more than 26,000 workers.

As explained in the report's presentation, "a new standard is redefining workplaces: success is no longer measured only by what we do, but also by why we do it, how we do it, and with whom we do it. Now, working means much more than receiving a paycheck at the end of the month."

According to Randstad experts, "we work motivated by personalization." And the employees consulted believe that "fostering a sense of community and trust benefits people and drives business performance."

Here are the main conclusions of the report and access to it (after free registration):
