🎓 My Own Business Institute (Santa Clara University) offers free online business courses

MOBI (My Own Business Institute) is an initiative of the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University that offers free online entrepreneurship courses to help anyone learn how to start, manage, and grow their own business. Courses are available in both English and Spanish.

MOBI's goal is to "provide a foundation of business and entrepreneurship principles through education that is accessible, understandable, and actionable," according to its directors.

The MOBI curriculum makes no assumptions about students' educational background, business experience, or technological knowledge. As such, the courses are aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, and anyone looking to strengthen their business knowledge.

MOBI's business education is free for all users, anywhere in the world. The curriculum can be followed in two ways: by exploring business topics directly on the course website, or by engaging in more structured learning through course enrollment.

Students have the opportunity to earn a MOBI and Santa Clara University Certificate of Completion and/or Digital Badge.

As explained on the course website, MOBI is an initiative of entrepreneur Phil Holland and his wife Peggy, and has its roots in the 1992 Los Angeles riots that devastated communities. The couple decided that entrepreneurship could help revitalize the community by creating businesses, jobs, and growth. They developed a curriculum for a free course at the Compton Job Training Center. “In 2015 as they approached retirement, the Hollands selected Santa Clara University to steward their vision into the future, providing a generous endowment to ensure it would remain accessible and free."

📷 AP's best photos from the Winter Olympics

The Associated Press has published a magnificent selection of the best images captured by its photographers during the recent Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics.

After taking thousands of photographs, the AP photographers who covered the Games reviewed all their images and chose their favorites. These are "magical moments" that the agency has compiled in a special photo gallery featuring 33 images.

In the Photography section of its website, AP showcases a daily selection of the best photos of the day, along with featured photo essays and a roundup of the best images from the past year. The section also offers a weekly top 10 photographs selection and a series of videos in which agency photographers share the stories behind some of their most striking recent shots ("Behind the Scenes with AP Photographers").
