The Guardian's ranking of the 100 best male and female football players of 2024

Rodri and Aitana Bonmatí top this year's 2024 ranking compiled by British newspaper The Guardian of the 100 best male and female football players of the year.

FC Barcelona player Aitana Bonmatí, who has ranked as the best for the second consecutive year, has surpassed Caroline Graham Hansen (FC Barcelona) in second place, and Sophia Smith (Portland Thorns) in third.

Here is the complete ranking with the 100 best female players of 2024:

In the case of male players, Rodri (Manchester City) has prevailed over Vinícius Júnior (Real Madrid), who came second, and Erling Haaland (Manchester City), third.

Here is this year's complete list:

Former U.S. President Barack Obama has published, once again, his list of favorite songs, movies, and books of 2024.

This has become a tradition dating back to 2015 when, while still President of the United States, he published his list of favorite songs of that year in summer. In subsequent years, he added his preferences for books and movies. Currently, he publishes his recommendations twice a year: in summer and at the end of the year.

Barack Obama's cultural recommendations always generate much anticipation. The former president shares them on the Obama Foundation website and through his social media, and many media outlets cover the topic.

This year, among his list of favorite songs, which includes 25 titles, there are tracks from artists like Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Karol G, and Billie Eilish.

In the list of 10 favorite movies, we find titles such as "Conclave", "Dune: Part Two", and "A Complete Unknown".

And regarding the 10 books recommended by Barack Obama, the list includes titles such as Intermezzo by Sally Rooney, and Orbital by Samantha Harvey.

Oshun and FC Barcelona redefine fan culture with Official Tattoo Collection

We're excited to share a first of its kind project from Oshun, led by our friend Casandra Vicente, who has partnered with FC Barcelona to launch "Barça per sempre" - the club's first official tattoo collection.

The collection features over thirty designs inspired by FC Barcelona's heritage, from the club crest to the Spotify Camp Nou. Each piece is part of a limited 1,899-unit release (a nod to the club's founding year) and comes with a numbered certificate and special perks, including experiences at the new stadium.

Casandra and the Oshun team have ensured quality by partnering with respected tattoo studios across Spain's major cities. All authorized artists in their network are verified professionals, maintaining high standards for every piece.

It's an interesting step for both football and fan culture, offering supporters a different way to show their connection to the club. You can check out the full collection at FC Barcelona's online store.
