The British newspaper The Guardian is one of the most prestigious media outlets with the largest number of digital users from around the world. It has specific editions for the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, Australia, and International.
Unlike other international media outlets, The Guardian opted years ago for a membership model that would allow any user to visit its website for free. Thus, thanks to the financial contributions made by The Guardian members, both regular and occasional, and to advertising revenue, access to the content offered by this newspaper is free.
Among The Guardian's extensive news offering is its "Photos of the day" section, where the newspaper's photo editors provide a daily selection of the most interesting and impactful images from around the world.

AI arrives at Wimbledon

The Wimbledon tennis tournament is already in its final week. This year, the official website has incorporated various technological innovations and interactive functionalities, some of them based on the use of artificial intelligence, thanks to its collaboration with IBM.
On one hand, it has launched Match Chat, an interactive AI assistant. This is a conversational assistant based on generative AI, available both on the website and in the Wimbledon app, which allows users to ask real-time questions about the matches in play.
Another novelty is the improved version of the dynamic victory probabilities for each player (Live Likelihood to Win). Through the use of AI analysis on statistical data, in addition to expert opinions and match evolution, these probabilities are offered before and during matches.
On IBM's website, the technological advances applied at Wimbledon are explained:
Additionally, on the Wimbledon website, you can follow the results of all matches live or watch the most outstanding videos from each day, including extensive summaries of each match.

Raw Materials, agency awarded for the original structure of its website

Raw Materials is a creative and design agency that was founded just over two years ago that is firmly committed to innovation, creativity and digital differentiation and has already obtained various international awards.
One of them was the 2024 Webby Award in the category of best navigation and website structure. As you can see if you visit their website, Raw Materials has opted for an original site that uses an unusual navigation menu, based on large bright colored buttons that allow you to go directly to the different sections. You can also visit the site simply by scrolling. On mobile, the colored menu is located in the lower area and works with horizontal scroll.
The creatives at Raw Materials say that, on the internet, innovation and lack of originality are at risk and that, "when everything is the same, being different is the greatest opportunity." And they have wanted to apply this to their own website.
Some of their work, for companies like 7-Eleven or Meta, is extensively described and illustrated on the Raw Materials website.
