Talkwalker Alerts: receive free email alerts on any topic

Talkwalker, part of Hootsuite, is a digital platform that offers businesses and agencies social listening and real-time media monitoring services to help professionals and companies analyze their online reputation, identify trends, and make the best possible decisions.
"By listening to the millions of visible conversations that happen every minute on social and digital channels, TalkWalker allows you to understand what your consumers want."
This company offers several free tools, including Talkwalker Alerts. It is a useful alert service, which can be received by email, on any topic, word, name, brand, or whatever we want. They present them as a great alternative to the alerts offered by Google.
To create and receive alerts, it is enough to sign up for free with an email address. Creating alerts is very simple: you indicate the term to search for, the type of content (publications on websites, blogs, forums, or social networks), the language, the sending frequency, and the quantity (the best or all). You can always preview the results to see if they work for us.
According to the company, there are already more than 60,000 users who receive Talkwalker Alerts.
Another free service offered by Talkwalker is the free social search (Free Social Search), which "monitors every conversation about your brand, hashtags, and competition on social networks."

The summer school of NPR's Planet Money podcast

“Economics is a game you should know how to play. And once you get the fundamental concepts, you start to see it everywhere: the news, the supermarket and even your dating life. So it's time to learn the rules.”
This is how the Summer School of the economics podcast and newsletter Planet Money from the NPR (National Public Radio) of the United States presents itself. It is an "economics crash course" that aims to help users learn to see the world "through the lens of an economist" to "feel a little less overwhelmed when making financial decisions."
NPR's "Summer School," which launched five years ago, has dedicated each edition to a specific topic, from macroeconomics to investment, including the economic history of the world. On this occasion, the main protagonist of the school is the government.
Every Wednesday, until the end of August, you’ll be looking at all the ways the economy, government, and politics are intertwined. Over 8 episodes, topics like how taxes change society; why some countries are rich and others are poor, with MIT professor and Nobel laureate, Simon Johnson; and why the U.S. budget keeps getting bigger and bigger (and bigger), will be explored
Those who follow the series will be able to obtain an official diploma from Planet Money's Summer School, for which they will need to pass an exam.
