Gen Alpha unfiltered: what the latest GWI report reveals about the youngest generation

GWI has published its most recent report on Gen Alpha, offering deep insights into the minds, values, and behaviors of the youngest digital natives. Although many are still in elementary school, this group is already influencing culture, technology decisions, and family purchases.
Key trends revealed by the Alpha generation report:
Technology (smartphones, tablets, digital platforms) has displaced the traditional computer as the center of interest. What's valuable to them is not the device, but what they can create, experience, and interact with through it.
New content consumption preferences: They have more interest in podcasts, short videos, and audio than in traditional news. They seek short and personalized formats to protect their mental wellbeing.
Digital-physical balance: Despite being hyperconnected, they show greater interest in physical games, toys, and offline activities; 40% actively take breaks from devices. Socializing and playing includes both collaborative video games (Roblox, Minecraft) and in-person experiences.
Creative and social gaming: Online gaming is dominant, but increasingly integrates with creativity (world building, content co-creation) and collaboration.
Education and ambitions: They are interested in practical learning and concrete skill development.
Social and environmental responsibility: Although environmental interest has decreased post-pandemic, there continues to be a demand for responsible, inclusive, and transparent brands.
Up-aging and accelerated maturity: They have early access to debates and mature topics, merging childhood and adulthood stages more naturally ("up-aging").

An Adapty report reveals how the mobile app subscription market works

The company Adapty has recently published a comprehensive report on the state of mobile app subscriptions that is based on the 1.9 billion dollars in revenue generated by more than 11,000 apps for iOS devices (Apple).
The study, which offers a multitude of interesting data about this market, aims to help companies monetize their apps more effectively.
This report shows that 48.9% of subscription revenue in apps from the last year occurred in the United States market, with Europe in second place with 24.85% of total revenue. Latin America contributed 4.5% of revenue.
One of the study's conclusions that stands out most is the growth of weekly subscriptions, which have increased almost 10% during the last year and have represented almost half (46%) of all subscriptions. According to the report's authors, "users seem to prefer the flexibility of short-term plans." Thus, annual, monthly, or lifetime subscriptions have fallen compared to the previous year, while single-payment purchases have grown 6%.

The report, which can be downloaded for free with prior registration, offers a multitude of data that can be useful for any company that wants to understand how the app subscription market is evolving.
