From Monday, July 15, to Thursday, July 18, 2024, the Republican National Convention is taking place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Donald Trump is expected to be formally nominated as the Republican presidential candidate for the third time.

Given the recent assassination attempt on Trump, this convention is particularly significant.

Additionally, beyond the extensive media coverage, the convention sessions can be followed live online, either in full or in part, through various channels. At "On the Net Today" we've selected a few:

• The C-SPAN channel will broadcast the convention live through its website and mobile app.

  This C-SPAN video shows the entire sequence of Donald Trump's rally on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, including the moment of the gunfire (around minute 8). The assassination attempt can be viewed on C-SPAN's YouTube channel:

• The New York Times will broadcast the speeches during primetime, with real-time commentary and analysis from their reporters. Access is available through their homepage (www.nytimes.com).

  The news networks CBS News, ABC News, and NBC News will provide extensive coverage through their streaming platforms:

  • CBS News 24/7

  • NBC News Now (geographical restrictions)

  • ABC News Live

• PBS News will broadcast live on their YouTube channel.

• CNN will provide extensive coverage as well.

Box Office Mojo: The Highest-Grossing Films Ranking

Which are the highest-grossing films in the world? How much have they earned? What rank does a specific film hold in terms of box office revenue? These questions and more are answered on Box Office Mojo, a website by IMDb, a subsidiary of Amazon.

Box Office Mojo provides continuously updated information on box office earnings for film releases. Users can check rankings and specific data worldwide or by country, both current and historical. The "All Time" ranking lists the highest-grossing films ever.

The website allows searches for specific titles, displaying their earnings in various international markets. For example, here are the earnings for "Inside Out 2", which has become Pixar's highest-grossing release ever.

"Inside Out 2" becomes Pixar's highest-grossing film ever

The film "Inside Out 2", released this past June, has become Pixar's highest-grossing film ever, with over $1.35 billion in global revenue (as of July 14)

This sequel revisits Riley's mind, now as a teenager, introducing four new emotions—Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, Embarrassment and Nostalgia—alongside the original five: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust.

The official Pixar website details the design of each character in "Inside Out 2" as well as the various settings.

Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust. Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, “Inside Out 2” was released this Summer 2024.
