FIFA+, an audiovisual treasure for football history enthusiasts

One of the services offered by the FIFA website, the international football federation, is FIFA+, a video portal where fans of men's and women's football can enjoy documentaries and series about this sport for free, or relive the best moments in World Cup history, among other options.

FIFA+'s historical archive is an audiovisual treasure. It is the most complete archive of international football, with more than 2,500 videos available for free, featuring content spanning from the mid-20th century to the present day.

For example, complete matches, spotlights on global stars, fans and influencers and relive iconic football moments with full match replays from past editions of FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup™can be viewed.

Thus, it is possible to relive complete matches such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, the Final that Spain won against the Netherlands with Iniesta's historic goal in extra time, or the finals won by Argentina in 1978, 1986, and 2022, or the Germany'74 final in which Beckenbauer and Cruyff faced off, with the Germans emerging victorious.

Additionally, the platform features documentaries, docuseries, interview programs, short films, and other programs dedicated to football stars, teams, and special moments in the history of this sport.

Newspaper Clarín celebrates its 80th anniversary with a multimedia historical special

On August 28th, the Argentine newspaper Clarín turned 80 years old. This newspaper, founded on August 28, 1945, has become the Spanish-language media outlet with the largest number of digital subscribers worldwide, after recently reaching the figure of 750,000 subscribers.

Among other initiatives promoted on the occasion of this celebration, Clarín recently launched a multimedia historical special in which it reviews major news stories from these last eight decades using the materials -texts, photos and even advertisements- published at the time, seeking "an attractive way to rescue history and bring it to the present."

The Clarín team has selected nearly 90 high-impact historical news stories, both national and international, and has told them "as if the internet had always existed," including photos, videos and animated pages, always maintaining the original texts. "A narration using internet codes and tools, about events that mostly occurred before the internet existed."
