George Clooney breaks Box Office Records on Broadway with "Good Night, and Good Luck”
The presence of major movie stars like Denzel Washington and George Clooney, among others, in New York's Broadway theaters is causing historic box office records to be broken for non-musical plays.
A few days ago, Denzel Washington and his "Othello" achieved a record box office revenue of $2.8 million in one week.
Just days later, this record was shattered by "Good Night, and Good Luck," written by and starring George Clooney. The play achieved $3.3 million in box office revenue last week—the highest figure ever for a non-musical production on Broadway.
Among musicals, Wicked holds the weekly box office record, reaching $5 million during Christmas week last year.
The box office revenues for all Broadway musicals and plays are available on The Broadway League's official industry website.

“Good Night, and Good Luck” grossed $3.3 million last week, breaking a record that was set earlier this month by Denzel Washington’s “Othello.”
James Webb: Space Telescope unveiling the universe's secrets
In December 2021, NASA launched the James Webb Space Telescope, a marvel of space engineering orbiting the Sun at 1.5 million kilometers. This revolutionary telescope helps uncover the universe's history while capturing unprecedented spectacular images.
The James Webb, the world's premier space science observatory, is 100 times more powerful than the Hubble Space Telescope. As explained on NASA's website, "Webb is solving the mysteries of our solar system, looking beyond distant worlds around other stars, and probing the mysterious structures and origins of our universe and our place in it." NASA describes it as "a time machine that allows us to observe the first galaxies that formed after the Big Bang."
Webb is an international program led by NASA in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).
NASA's website features a dedicated section for the James Webb telescope, providing updates on its activities, discoveries, and latest images. Recently, it achieved a remarkable milestone:
For the first time, NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has captured bright auroral activity on Neptune. These auroras form when energetic particles—primarily from the Sun—become trapped in the planet's magnetic field and collide with its upper atmosphere. These collisions release energy, creating the characteristic glow.

The cyan (turquoise) spots, representing auroral activity, and white clouds, are data from Webb's Near-Infrared Spectrograph (NIRSpec), overlaid on top of the complete planet image taken by Hubble's Wide Field Camera 3.
