Most of the generative artificial intelligence companies that have been prominent in the last two years come from the United States.
However, the French startup Mistral, founded in April 2023 by former employees of Meta and Google, is making its way among these big names and is already valued at $6.2 billion after attracting major investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Genera Catalyst, Nvidia, Samsung, Salesforce, Cisco, IBM, and BNP Paribas.
Last November, Mistral launched its multilingual conversational assistant Le Chat, a tool that answers questions by offering web links, provides summaries, translates, and creates images, and which seeks to compete with other well-known generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Perplexity. For now, Le Chat is completely free to use.
One of the differential characteristics of Mistral's AI is its commitment to developing open-source AI models.

Among the available games are the following:
The word game SpellTower
Really Bad Chess, a chess game that starts with pieces placed incorrectly

Cross|Word, a medium-sized crossword with tools that facilitate gameplay
Puzzmo allows free play but also has a paid subscription, Puzzmo Plus, which allows playing without ads and offers access to the complete game archive and certain exclusive games, among other advantages.

The Browser Company to Launch Dia: A New AI-Powered Browser
The Browser Company, creator of the Arc browser, has unveiled its next product: a new web browser called Dia. Set to launch in early 2025, Dia promises to streamline users' lives through built-in artificial intelligence.
Josh Miller, CEO of The Browser Company, made the announcement in a video on Dia's website. The video demonstrates several prototype features of this new AI-powered browser:
The team behind Dia envisions that "the future of AI is not a button. Nor an application. It will be a completely new computing environment, built into the browser layer."
