👩🏻💻 Canva relaunches Affinity, a comprehensive free professional design tool
Canva has recently launched the new version of Affinity, a comprehensive professional design tool, free for all users, that brings professional vector, photo, and layout tools together in one powerful space, featuring everything you need to design, edit, and publish without switching apps or breaking flow.
Affinity can be downloaded on both Mac and Windows computers, and will soon be available on iPad as well. To use it, simply create a Canva account.
This free tool aims to compete with other design tools that require paid licenses or subscriptions.
Affinity is targeted at designers, illustrators, photographers, creative studios, marketing teams, and content creators.

🇪🇬 The Grand Egyptian Museum opens its doors
The new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), finally opened its doors on November 1, 2025, after more than two decades of development and an investment of around 1 billion dollars.
Located near the pyramids of Giza, it is the world's largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization, the Egyptian.
The GEM houses more than 100,000 pieces that tell 5,000 years of Egyptian history. Among them is the complete collection of Pharaoh Tutankhamun's treasure, which is being exhibited together for the first time since the tomb's discovery in 1922.

The Grand Egyptian Museum aims to reach 7 million visitors per year, which would place it among the 10 most visited museums in the world.

🏆 Winners of the Lovie Awards 2025, the European Internet Awards, announced
The winners in the 15th edition of the Lovie Awards, the European internet awards, have just been announced, offering a great showcase of European digital creativity.
This year's multiple winners across the different award categories can be viewed through the winners' gallery.
By country, the United Kingdom has accumulated the highest number of awards (141), followed by the Netherlands (60), Germany (45), Italy (21), France (15), and Spain (10).
DEPT has been named agency of the year once again, Nvidia has won the brand of the year award for the Signs project, and CNN has received the publisher of the year award for the sum of its awarded works.
Two of this year's winning projects that caught our attention the most are related to art. These are "Talking Portraits", a project in which, thanks to AI, Rembrandt portraits speak with the public, and "Emotions through Art", from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, which analyzes the emotions we feel when contemplating a work of art.
