Good morning!

Welcome to "On the Net Today". Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we bring you a handpicked selection of three valuable and interesting online resources to help you get the most out of the internet and optimize your browsing time.

Here are the three resources we've prepared for today:

  • Amazon's robots

  • Digital publishing platform Ghost turns 12

  • Free HubSpot and The Hustle Kit for launching a startup

Amazon's robots

The e-commerce giant Amazon now has more than 750,000 robots that sort, lift, and transport packages in its logistics centers, as explained by the company.

The company founded by Jeff Bezos "has built and scaled the largest industrial robotics fleet in the world," Amazon itself assures.

What are these robots like and what do they do? Amazon has explained the journey of a package through the eyes of nine robots used by the company:

The new Innovation Center that Amazon has in Dortmund (Germany) is the best place to discover what the company's new robots are like and what they do. Amazon has offered an exclusive tour on its website to see the robots in action.

Digital publishing platform Ghost turns 12

The digital publishing platform Ghost just celebrated its 12th anniversary.

Its founder, John O'Nolan, has published data on the evolution of the business, which generates 8 million dollars in annual revenue and has a team of 34 people.

"The core idea behind Ghost, in 2013, was simple," O'Nolan wrote. "I've always believed that independent publishing on the web is essential, and that the technology behind it plays an important role in its ultimate success or failure."

Ghost's ambition "was to create an open, specialized technology stack so that independent publishers, from solo creators to large newsrooms, could compete in a rapidly evolving digital media landscape, without depending on closed networks owned and controlled by private companies like Facebook and Medium," he added.

The founder of Ghost has expressed being "incredibly proud" of the journey "as a small independent non-profit organization that distributes free open-source software."

These are some of the media digital projects built with Ghost, among many others:
