"Adolescence" and "The Studio" triumph at the 2025 Emmys

The Netflix series "Adolescence", with six awards, became this past Sunday the big winner of the 2025 Emmy Awards, which recognize the best of American television each year.

Among other categories, "Adolescence" prevailed as best miniseries. Stephen Graham, one of the series' creators as well as its star, received the award for best lead actor in a miniseries or TV movie, and also, together with Jack Thorne, the award for best miniseries screenplay. Meanwhile, Owen Cooper became, at 15 years of age, the youngest actor to win an Emmy (he took home the award for best supporting actor in a miniseries).

The other big winner at this year's Emmys was the Apple TV comedy series "The Studio". With four awards, it prevailed as best comedy series of the year. Its star, Seth Roger, took home the award for best lead actor in a comedy series.

Other series that received more than one award were "The Pitt" -which prevailed as best drama series-, "Severance" and "Hacks".

Comedian Stephen Colbert was one of the big protagonists of the night. He was given a standing ovation when he won for the first time the award for best talk show for "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert". This historic program will end its run in a few months following CBS network's decision to cancel it citing financial reasons.

In addition to linking to the official Emmy website, where you can relive the main moments of the awards ceremony, in "On the Net Today" we have compiled the official websites of the main series awarded this year.

Forbes List of the 400 richest people in the U.S. in 2025 published

Forbes magazine has just published its annual Forbes 400 list, which offers a ranking of the 400 richest people in the United States.

Despite the global trade war with new tariffs imposed by the United States, inflation, and the employment slowdown, U.S. billionaires have continued to increase their fortunes, which have reached a record value of 6.6 trillion after increasing by 1.2 trillion in the past year. This has been due, mainly, to the artificial intelligence phenomenon and the corresponding stock market rise of numerous companies.

This year's list, based on data from September 1st, is headed by Elon Musk, whose fortune amounted to 428 billion dollars at that time.

These are the top 10 in the ranking

  1. Elon Musk (Tesla, SpaceX, xAI) - $428 B

  2. Larry Ellison (Oracle) – $276 B

  3. Mark Zuckerberg (Meta) – $253 B

  4. Jeff Bezos (Amazon) – $241 B

  5. Larry Page (Google) – $179 B

  6. Sergey Brin (Google) – $166 B

  7. Steve Ballmer (Microsoft) – $153 B

  8. Jensen Huang (Nvidia) – $151 B

  9. Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway) – $150 B

  10. Michael Dell (Dell Technologies) – $129 B

On its website, Forbes also maintains a permanently updated listing of changes in the value of all these fortunes:

This year, to enter the list of the 400 richest, the minimum net worth required has been 3.8 billion dollars.

Express Quiz

Every year, for more than a decade, the company DOMO produces an infographic about the activity that takes place on the internet in one minute. For example, according to the latest published data, every minute 16,000 videos are uploaded to TikTok, 3.8 million videos are watched on YouTube, or 5.9 million searches are performed on Google.

Our question today is about emails:

How many emails are sent every minute worldwide?

Login or Subscribe to participate in polls.

You will find the answer in DOMO's Data Never Sleeps 12.0 infographic.

The correct answer to last week's quiz, in which we asked about which internet property, from a list of very relevant websites, was not among the ten most visited in the world, was Amazon.
