Held on September 11 and celebrating its 40th anniversary show years of iconic music moments, the 2024 VMAs delivered a show to remember, live from UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
Taylor Swift dominated with seven wins, including Artist of the Year and Best Collaboration and Video of the Year for "Fortnight" Best New Artist went to Chappell Roan, who dedicated her win to the queer community.
Sabrina Carpenter took home Song of the Year for "Espresso," while Anitta’s "Mil Veces" won Best Latin, with a nod to Karol G. The night also paid tribute to Britney Spears' impact with several nods.

The Economist's Espresso app, free for students worldwide
The Economist has an app called Espresso, its short-form, daily news app, and it will now be available to over 400m students worldwide at no cost. EThe app is typically paid, priced at €129, which is considerably lower than the full digital subscription to the magazine (€319).
However, The Economist is now offering its Espresso app for free to millions of high school (16+) and university students worldwide.
Espresso, available for Apple and Android, provides the following content:
The world in brief: A summary of top current news with AI-powered, in-app translations in French, German, Mandarin and Spanish.
Four full weekly articles from The Economist.
Access to The Intelligence podcast.
Weekly quizzes and crosswords.
Audio versions of articles.
“With the launch of our Espresso app free for students, we are signalling a commitment to the next generation of Economist readers. Providing the Espresso app at no cost to students will drive future subscriber growth and offer students—bombarded with low-quality content—fact-checked journalism that provides an independent worldview,” said Luke Bradley-Jones, president, The Economist.

What are the best business schools in the world? Which MBA is the most valuable? There’s no single answer to these questions, as several international rankings offer yearly lists of top MBA programs.
One of these rankings has just been published: LinkedIn's list of the 100 best business schools worldwide offering MBA programs. The list is built on exclusive LinkedIn data looking at career outcomes of MBA alumni, such as job placement rates, advancement to senior-level positions and network strength. The most common job titles and locations reflect aggregated public member data from active LinkedIn profiles of alumni of each program.
These are the top five business schools in LinkedIn’s 2024 ranking:
